Founded in 1966 as a Chinese delicacies
wholesaler and distributor, Kwang Yeow Heng has since
transformed into a major importer, exporter and distributor
of nutritional and valued-added delicacies, mainly the
Four Heavenly Kings:- Abalones,
Sea-Cucumbers, Shark Fins and Fish Maws.
Besides focusing on these four core prodsucts,
we constantly explore and bring in related and supportive
products such as Scallops, Bird Nests etc. To satisfy
the ever-increasing cravings of the consumer palate, we
procure from all oceans and continents by establishing
partnerships in Japan, Mexico,
Australia, New Zealand, India, Philippines, Papua New
Guinea, Pacific Ocean islands, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique,
South Africa, Chile, Argentina.
Kwang Yeow Heng International is
the parent company of Skylight; it was established
in 1966 in Singapore by Mr
Ngan Tang Joo. He had embarked on a journey
to Australia the same year to scout for the best
abalone and had returned with a business philosophy
based on the finest principal of the fishing industry;
procuring ONLY the best quality products from
its source. Since then, his trips have taken him
to other export areas such as New Zealand, Mexico
and Japan as he searched for the best business
opportunities.
The brand Skylight was
born in 1973. By then KYH International
had opened an overseas office in 1968 and had
begun exporting in 1969, their first destination
being Malaysia. In 1980, Skylight built their
first 6-storey multi-purpose warehouse. Consisting
of 50 cold storage rooms and 5 floors of warehousing
spaces, it is a complete logistic centre with
a total area of 60,000 square feet. 3 more warehouses
were subsequently built in Malaysia to distribute
and serve customers more efficiently.
